<hi style=afpcap>The only two seat monoplane which was ordered for operational service with the Air Corps between the two wars was the Consolidated PB-2A. The design started as the Detroit Aircraft YP-24, although its designer joined Consolidated when the former withdrew from aviation. The design was revised to become the Y1P-25, and subsequently the P-30 as an improved version with 54 being ordered.</hi>
